The AQUA DOME opened its doors for the first time in 2004.
The largest thermal spa resort in western Austria generates high indirect profitability and added value for the local community of Längenfeld and the Ötztal. On 1 October 2004 the time had come for the eagerly awaited opening of the AQUA DOME – Tirol Therme Längenfeld; the culmination of a development process that had been going on for years.

In 1997, a borehole tapped thermal water from a depth of 1,865 metres for the first time. The subsequent investment of 74.1 million euros put Längenfeld and the whole of Tyrol on the map of Austrian thermal spa tourism in one go. What followed is a success story that continues to this day. The thermal spa and hotel have welcomed almost seven million guests in the two decades since opening. The 4-star superior hotel is expected to have 125,000 overnight stays in 2024. In conjunction with the thermal spa, AQUA DOME Managing Director Bärbel Frey and her team are expecting around 386,000 visitors this year. 252 employees look after the well-being of the many guests.
